We will use this blog for several purposes. I will post my daily notes and class goals. I will also post stuffs and things relevant to the course materials and to our ongoing discussion.
Students
will use this site as a reference and to post their response papers, as well as
comment on other students response papers.
Please post ONLY Response Papers, and comment on your fellow students
papers, to this site (label them RP 1:
and title, RP 2: and title,
etc.,). DO NOT POST ANY OTHER MATERIALS TO THIS SITE. I will not monitor additional responses, I
will delete them, and discuss the matter with you privately.
In the use
of this site please follow the guidelines for class responsibility and decorum
outlined on your syllabus. As public
intellectuals we must craft our responses with an eye and ear toward respectful
engagement with the materials and with each other. We will practice accountability and ethics
together. I hope each of us takes this opportunity
to pursue a contemplative life, and to practice sustained and mature engagement
as artists and scholars. Let us promise
to be good to your earhole.
